Day 9 - Rest Day in Tui
Today we really took it easy. By the time we left the hotel it was Spanish siesta time. We didn't realize it was such a big thing. The city felt deserted and practically all the businesses and tourist sites were closed.
We found a cafe that was open though. After a slow bite to eat, other businesses began to open. When the nearby Cathedral opened we went and had a visit. It was huge and was built in the 12th century.
It has a beautiful cloister - which Ian loved.
It also had interesting old sculptures. Pam liked the lion with a metal tongue.
Tomorrow we continue walking. We hope our bodies are well rested and ready for the next stages through Spain.
