A rainy last training walk

We thought we would be able to squeeze in a walk this afternoon before the forecasted rain started. We made it almost 3/4 of the way when it started to drizzle. But it is all part of our training since we'll probably get a good bit of rain in Portugal.

In the end we did a quick 6.5 miles in 2 hours along the shore from Swampscott to Nahant and back. We were glad to see the Nahant Beach walkway is all cleaned up now. There is still a good bit of work to be done to repair the sand dunes but other than that it is in good shape.

We leave in 48 hours, so this will likely be our last longish training walk. Between bad weather and full work schedules in the next 2 days it doesn't leave a lot of time for long walks!
