Lisbon to Porto
Monday we left Lisbon. We had fun taking a funicular down from the heights of the Bairro Alto neighborhood where we stayed.

After a last walk through the grand Restauradores square we made our way to the train station. We found our train and in less than 3 hours we were in Porto.
The Sao Bento train station in Porto is beautiful. Covered in azulejo tiles, it is a tourist attraction even if you are not catching a train.
Many of the streets in the old part of Porto are amazingly narrow, steep and twisty.
It was fun to wander and along the way we found the Sao Francisco Church. The inside is stunning but no photography was allowed. Almost every surface was covered in flamboyant wood carvings and gold leaf. There is even a creepy crypt underneath with a pile of bones.
